Alexander Technique
Alexander Technique is a holistic approach that teaches us to move in an efficient and naturally designed way through self-awareness and mindful observation.
The Applicability of Alexander Technique
Many activities interfere with the natural design of our movements. Alexander Technique undos these unwanted habits, allowing you to feel at ease with your body whether in your daily routines or performative activities, such as singing, acting, playing an instrument, or fitness exercise.
Psycho-Physical Unity
By being mindful of our connection to our body, we open the door to allow positive and rewarding changes in our lives. We are one whole being of mind, body, and emotion. They are not separable; they are deeply interconnected. Through self-awareness and mindfulness, we reintegrate our mind, body, and emotion as one into a more balanced and harmonious way.
“People do not decide their futures, they decide their habits and their habits decide their futures”
F. Matthias Alexander
“Alexander Technique has helped me
to undo knots, unblock energy and deal with almost paralyzing stage fright”
William Hurt
“The Alexander Technique gives us all things we have been looking for in a system of physical education:
relief from strain due to maladjustment, and constant improvement in physical and mental health.
We cannot ask for more from any system: nor, if we seriously desire to alter humans beings in a desirable direction, can we ask for any less.”
Aldous Huxley

My Personal Journey with Alexander Technique
I am a Certified Alexander Technique Teacher. I completed the Alexander Technique Teacher Training from the Philadelphia School over four years under guidance of Martha Fertman Hansen and certified by the Alexander Technique International.
I believe Alexander Technique can help us to discover our own potential and help us to find the way to balance our mind and body. I am open to teach students of any age and any professions who are interested in finding their harmonious being. As a musician myself, I have worked with performing artists to find their potentials to express their artistic desires and to bring out their best in their performances. I have taught musicians and dancers in a variety of settings, such as private lessons, group classes, university workshops, and the Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan.
My journey with Alexander Technique started in 2005 with a performance-related piano injury. I am also a cancer survivor. I have experienced and witnessed much pain through intensive performance practice and medical treatments. Alexander Technique enabled me to survive these challenges and open up a new perspective of living a balanced and harmonious life. It is my personal wish and desire to share my knowledge with you and to be a part of your life journey as discovered by the both of us.

I think of teaching as...
- Teaching is an act of genuine interest and care for another’s well-being. I try to recognize each individual student’s needs, potentials, and desire to learn by providing my knowledge and experiences accordingly. I am not only passing on techniques and lessons to be learnt, but also giving students the tools so they can continue to learn independently.
- Teaching is a discovery of our own potential. I believe everyone has potential to change and grow in a nurturing environment. Through guidance and encouragement, students will find their own unique inner beauty, strength, and full potential to become the person they wish to be.
- Teaching is a human connection to another. Students seek a teacher because of their specific interest, but they learn better when they feel connected with their teachers. The student-teacher relationship is built on trust and respect for each other. Within boundaries, both can create a safe space to learn and grow through errors, explorations, and the acceptance of differences.
- Teaching is a way of living that I can deepen my own expertise and grow as a person. Teaching is also learning for me. I learn by teaching, and follow the principle “keep evolving and growing” and “practice what I teach.” Teaching is my reminder of how to live and a continual affirmation of my beliefs and principles as a human being.
